Another personal project of mine in which I took a passion in my life and looked around to see what was out there on the web and found that there were alot of mountain bike clubs and organizations out there doing great work for mountain biking in NY state but were very local only. So I came up with the idea to make a state wide site that would support those organizations and give bikers a reason to come back on a regular basis and that I would find useful as a mountain biker.

Main page is world and local news with a video area, then the "My Info" pages uses a simple cookie system to collect your zip code and then populate a series of Google widgets that bikers would find useful.  The widgets are, local weather forecast, current radar and sunrise/sunset times...all very useful data to determining when you can ride. Included in there is the regional and national news, which can also have a an effect on your ride if the state decides to close your favorite trail.

This Site was just launched in Jan '09 and is still very new and developing, but it is planned for a long growth curve so I do a little bit every weekend and we'll see what kind of reception it gets with the mountain bike community. 

Update: May 09 : Had to scale back on this project for several reasons, might just shut it down altogether, but it was a fun build!
